PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS

Dane Vannatter's next Performance Workshop will be held Saturday, January 29, 2000. The Workshop will run from 10 AM to 3 PM and will be held at Big T Productions at 115 Kingston Street, 3rd Floor, in Boston (one block from Chinatown on the Dynasty Restaurant side of the street). Pupil space is limited, so please reserve early! For more information and the fee of the workshop, please contact Dane either by phone 781-598-9156 or email at danevannatter@aol.com.

This workshop is conducted at a professional recording studio that is a very spacious and terrific environment for exploring performance style and technique. We will have use of a great sound system. In a safe, fun and creative space we will explore the avenues for making a song your own, enhancing your personal performance style through the combination of your life experience, how music itself helps set the emotional stage and inspires your phrasing, rhythm, etc. While the emphasis is on performing and each student will perform at least 2 songs, we will make use of selected recordings and video clips to enliven the discussion of what makes performance unique, personal and magical.

What they are saying about Dane Vannatter, a Jazz Educator and member of The International Association of Jazz Educators, Performance Workshops: "Your class made me ready for my shows! If I didn't have your class I would not have had the same material and perspectives. Thanks again!" "Thank you for the most wonderful creative learning experience of my life." "You've created an atmosphere of support and challenge." "Your workshop classes inspired me to pursue the dream of my life: to become a singer." "I want more and more and then some!"

Also, Dane Vannatter is now accepting private students at Boston and North Shore locations. Students at all levels of experience are invited to work privately on performance style, repertoire, vocal technique, microphone technique, etc. Please contact Dane at the same numbers listed above. Thank you!
